Violet’s Story:
Late one evening I received call about a French Bulldog in need. She was a young paralyzed Frenchie that was dumped on the side of the road, covered in maggots, and starving. Thanks to the kindness of the staff at a local emergency hospital they saw her fighting spirit and contacted me to try and help.
Very quickly it became apparent that despite her poor health she loved people despite them giving her nothing in return. She had a severe urinary tract infection, paralyzed in her back legs, severely underweight, and was used a breeding female until she couldn’t be bred anymore.
She spent the next week treating her severe infections and malnutrition. Once she was more stable she was spayed and started to learn how to use her new wheelchair! Once she had wheels there was no stopping her and she quickly learn how to run around.
Once she was healed enough to go to a home then began the difficult task of finding a home that could take a dog in a wheelchair. Through a chain of amazing people she found her forever home at a rescue that could dedicate their time to her and give her the love she so desperately deserved.
